組紐とは

魔除け、縁、誓い...。平安時代から続く日本の伝統工芸「組紐」は、古来から様々な道具に用いられてきました。「結ぶ」という文化に込められた人々の想いは、脈々と受け継がれ現代に至ります。丁寧に編み組まれたシルク100%の紐は、頑丈でありながら伸縮性を持ち、形を記憶します。

What is Kumihimo?

Protection, bonds, vows... Kumihimo, a traditional Japanese craft dating back to the Heian period, has long been used for a variety of purposes. The cultural meaning of “tying” has been passed down through generations. Braided from 100% silk with care, the cords are both strong and elastic, and they retain their shape.
