■楽曲解説（解説：葛西竜之介）

過去・現在・未来、全ては同時に存在していて、私たち人間は、その静止画のように存在している世界を眺めているに過ぎない、という相対性理論における一つの仮説があります。この説の正誤は物理学の専門家たちにお任せすることとして、私はこの仮説は非常にユニークだと感じました。今作はここから着想を得たファンタジーの世界です。

ある日突然、白亜紀の恐竜が現代生活に紛れ込んでしまったら…人類にもルーティンがあるように、当然恐竜にもルーティンがあります。食事を摂る、眠りにつく…etc. 人類は大混乱に陥りつつも、共存するという選択肢を取らざるを得ないとも思うのです。日々の生活が次第に変容し、未来へと溶け合っていく…そんな意味を込めて「メタモルフォセズ」としました。

■Program Note

There is a hypothesis in the theory of relativity that suggests the past, present, and future all exist simultaneously ? that we humans are merely observing this world as if it were a series of still images. Whether or not this idea is scientifically correct is up to physicists to decide, but I found the concept itself deeply fascinating. This piece is inspired by that hypothesis and envisions a kind of fantasy world based on it.

One day, what if dinosaurs from the Cretaceous period suddenly appeared and blended into our modern world? Just as humans have their routines, surely dinosaurs would have theirs ? eating, sleeping, and so on. Humanity would likely descend into chaos, yet might ultimately have no choice but to find a way to coexist. As everyday life gradually transforms and merges toward the future, I wanted to capture that sense of evolution ? hence the title Metamorphoses.
