■Program Note

This is a work for solo alto saxophone by the young Russian saxophonist Vladimir Petskus. As the cover suggests, the piece is structured as a musical palindrome, remaining identical whether read from the beginning or the end.

Inspired by the concept that ""music can travel freely through time,"" the finale features a dramatic development where backward and forward movements collide, resulting in an explosion of energy.
