■楽曲解説

スタジオジブリ作品『かぐや姫の物語』で使用されるこの楽曲は、それまでに登場する音楽とは打って変わって、その発想の源泉はサンバにある底抜けに明るい一曲です。天人がかぐや姫を連れ帰るために訪れるシーンで使用され、かぐや姫を育てた老夫婦が悲しみに暮れるなかで流れるこの曲は、浮世の日常とかけ離れた天人の世界を象徴的に表現しています。

In the Studio Ghibli film The Tale of The Princess Kaguya, this song stands in stark contrast to all of the music that comes before it, drawing its bright, boundless energy from samba. It’s used in the scene where celestial beings arrive to take Princess Kaguya back with them?while the elderly couple who raised her is left sorrowful. This piece symbolically represents the otherworldly realm of the celestial beings, utterly removed from earthly life.
