タイトルの『F.F.F.F.（Four Forces for Four tubas）』。自然界を支配するFour Forces（重力・電磁気力・強い力・弱い力）から着想を得てつけられました。
複雑に絡み合う自然界の力の他に、4人の奏者、4つのセクション、F-minorの調性、さらには“フォルテ４つなど、この楽曲に含まれる様々な要素の意味を込めています。
書き進める中でこの４つの力というキーワードが自然に浮かび上がり、結果的にタイトルがすべてを回収する形となりました。冒頭のモチーフが各セクションで様々な旋律と絡みながら姿を変え、音楽を有機的に繋いでいきます。
低音楽器ならではの重厚なグルーヴ、繊細なハーモニーの重なり、そして終盤には1st奏者が即興的なソロを展開し、再現部をともなったフィナーレへ突入します。

The title “F.F.F.F. (Four Forces for Four Tubas)” was inspired by the four fundamental forces that govern nature ? gravity, electromagnetism, the strong force, and the weak force.

The number “four” carries multiple meanings throughout the work: four players, four sections, the key of F minor, and even four fortes (ffff). During the composition process, the concept of “four forces” naturally emerged, ultimately unifying the entire piece under its title.

The opening motif transforms as it intertwines with various melodies in each section, creating an organic flow throughout the music. The piece features the deep groove unique to low brass, rich and delicate harmonic layers, and culminates with an improvised solo by the first player leading into a powerful recapitulation and grand finale.

1936年にアメリカのクラリネット奏者ベニー・グッドマン（Benny Goodman）の演奏によって一世を風靡したスウィング・ジャズの代表曲です。作曲者はルイ・プリマ（Louis Prima）で、当初は彼自身のヴォーカルナンバーとして発表されましたが、グッドマン楽団が大胆なアレンジで演奏したことで、世界的に知られるようになりました。

This piece is one of the most iconic works of swing jazz, made famous in 1936 by the performance of American clarinetist Benny Goodman. The composer, Louis Prima, originally wrote it as a vocal number for himself, but it gained worldwide recognition after Goodman’s band performed it in a bold and energetic arrangement.
The repeated jungle beat and legato cymbal rhythm give the piece its unforgettable brilliance and excitement.

It has been arranged for tuba quartet by jazz pianist Yoko Suzuki.

■楽曲解説（解説：高橋宏樹）

チューバサダーズさんから「夜の都会のようなイメージ」というコンセプトでの委嘱をいただき、「さて、どうし たものか」というところから曲作りはスタートしました。他の人たちは「夜の都会」というテーマでどんな曲を作っ ているのか調べてみると、ほとんどの曲が(主にボカロ曲でしたが)マルサ進行を使用していることがわかりました。

マルサ進行とは椎名林檎さんの『丸の内サディスティック』という曲に出てくるコード進行のことで、夜の都会や 高速道路・ビル夜景などを感じさせる非常にエモい進行なのです。この進行を中心に作ったところ、だいぶ歌ものに 近いチューバ4重奏となりました。オプショナルのカホンを加わえると、よりPops感が出ると思います。

曲タイトルはチューバサダーズ→チュバサダーズ→ツバサダース...と徐々に変化させていくことにより誕生。 前回「ジキル博士とハイド氏」という曲を委嘱いただいた時からこの構想はあり、次に機会をいただいた時は これだと思っていましたが、思いのほか早くこの曲を作る機会を与えていただきました。

One Dozen Wings

The piece began when I received a commission from the Tuba-saders with the concept of “an image of the city at night.” From the starting point of “Well, what should I do with that?”, the process of composing began. When I looked into what kind of music others had written on the theme of “the city at night,” I found that most of them (mainly Vocaloid songs) used the **Marusa progression**.

The Marusa progression refers to the chord progression used in Ringo Sheena’s song *Marunouchi Sadistic*. It’s a very emotional progression that evokes images of nighttime cities, highways, and illuminated skylines. Building the piece around this progression resulted in a tuba quartet that feels quite close to a pop song. Adding the optional caj?n part enhances the pop flavor even more.

The title was created by gradually transforming “Tuba-ssadors” → “Chuba-saders” → “Tsuba-saders.” This idea had actually existed since their previous commission, *Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde*. I had thought, “Next time, I’ll use this concept,” and fortunately, I was given the opportunity to realize it sooner than expected.

アルメニアンダンス Part 1

■楽曲解説

吹奏楽の巨匠と呼ばれたアルフレッド・リード。その中でも本曲「アルメニアンダンス」は今もなお人気を誇る楽曲の一つとして数えられています。5曲のアルメニアの民謡をメドレー形式で編曲されていますが、その独創性は編曲を超えた作曲と言えるでしょう。

■アレンジ内容(解説：西部圭亮)

吹奏楽の名曲をチューバだけでもカッコよく演奏したいという強い想いをこめて編曲しました。原曲のイメージや構成感を崩さないように、メロディを担当するパートは場面ごとに入れ替わるように工夫しています。吹奏楽では指揮者がいるので、引っ張っていってくれるのですが、4重奏では推進力が失われて重くなりがちです。特に残響の長いホールなどで演奏する際には、ホールから反響して聴こえてきた音に合わせるとどんどん遅れていってしまいます。できる限りたくさんリハーサルをして、アンサンブルを磨いていくと良いでしょう。楽器で難しい場合は、4人で歌ってみると早く上達します。

Alfred Reed, known as a master of wind orchestra music, composed many renowned works, among which Armenian Dances remains one of the most beloved pieces to this day. This composition is arranged in a medley format, incorporating five Armenian folk songs, yet its originality transcends mere arrangement, making it a true composition in its own right.

I arranged this piece with a strong desire to make a brass band masterpiece sound cool even with only tubas. To preserve the original image and structure, I carefully designed the melody to be shared among different parts throughout the piece. In a full wind ensemble, the conductor provides direction and momentum, but in a quartet, the performance can sometimes feel heavy due to the lack of that driving force. This is especially true in halls with long reverberation, where synchronizing with the echoed sound can cause the tempo to drag. To counter this, frequent rehearsals are essential for refining ensemble cohesion. If certain passages are difficult to play on the instrument, practicing by singing them together can significantly speed up improvement.

Romanza

バラード・フォー・トルヴェールは、トルヴェール・クワルテットのために作曲・献呈されたサキソフォン四重奏のための作品。作曲者である横内章次の残した数少ないオリジナル作品のひとつでもある。
本作品はトルヴェール4作目のアルバムである「イノセント・ドールズ」（1994年発売)に収録され、後にベスト盤である「トゥルーヴェ・トルヴェール! 」（2002年発売）にも収録された。
その美しい旋律とハーモニーは今なお幅広い世代のサックス奏者に愛されている。全編を通して誰でもすぐ口ずさめるような、キャッチーなメロディが特徴的な作品である。タイトルを日本語訳すると"吟遊詩人のうた"とでも言えようか…中世の歌い手がサックスを持って現代に転生したかのような雰囲気を感じさせる。

Ballad for Trouvère

Ballad for Trouvère is a composition for saxophone quartet, dedicated to the Trouvère Quartet by the composer Shoji Yokouchi. It is one of the few original works Yokouchi left behind. This piece was featured in the Trouvère Quartet’s fourth album, Innocent Dolls (released in 1994), and later in the best-of album Trouver Trouvère (released in 2002). Its beautiful melody and harmony continue to be loved by saxophonists of all ages. The entire piece is marked by catchy, singable melodies, as if a medieval singer had been reincarnated in the modern age with a saxophone.

バリトンサックスが刻むベースのリズムと、上の3本のかみ合わせが意外と難しいですが、バシッと決まるとめちゃくちゃ気持ち良いです。特にAメロの直前に要注意ポイントがあります。他の曲に比べると結構複雑めなアレンジをしているつもりなので、4人でよく合わせて演奏してもらえると嬉しいですね。サビの前に全員ブレイクになる部分が、個人的にかなり好きです。この曲はとにかく全体的にエモくて熱いです。

The bass rhythm carried by the baritone sax and the interplay with the upper three parts can be surprisingly tricky, but when it all clicks, it feels incredibly satisfying. Compared to other pieces, this arrangement is intentionally more complex, so I’d love for the quartet to really lock in and play in sync. Personally, I’m a big fan of the full break just before the chorus. Overall, this song is packed with emotion and energy!

ノリノリで人気の高いこちらの曲！一番大切なことはずっとテンション高く、明るく楽しく演奏することです。ベースラインが強い意志をもって音楽を進めていくとテンションが上がるはずです。 　何回も出てくる合いの手や、キメのパーツはしっかり息を揃えて同じ形同士で合わせにいきましょう。スピード感が大事です。メロディはある程度自由に演奏していただいても面白いと思います。アーティキュレーションは細かく書いていないので、こちらも原曲の雰囲気をよく聴いてそれぞれコピーしてみてください。

音楽は『美女と野獣』や『リトル・マーメイド』、『アラジン』などでも数々の名曲を残してきたアラン・メンケンが担当しました。クラシカルな音楽でありながら、耳に残るメロディはまさに彼の真骨頂といったところでしょう。
『I See the Light』(邦題：輝く未来)は無数に飛ぶランタンの灯りに囲まれ、ラプンツェルとフリンが舟の上で歌うロマンチックな楽曲です。ここに来るまでに様々な苦難を乗り越えてきた二人はお互いを意識し、互いに歌い合うデュエットになっています。
タイトルにある「See the Light」には「光が見える」という意味の他に、「心理が分かる」という意味もあるようです。ラプンツェルとフリン(ユージーン)にとって「I See the Light」はランタンの灯りが見れただけでなく、自分のいる場所や、大切な気持ちなどを理解することと重ねているのかもしれませんね。

The music was composed by Alan Menken, who has created numerous classics for films such as ""Beauty and the Beast,"" ""The Little Mermaid,"" and ""Aladdin."" Though the music has a classical feel, its memorable melodies truly showcase his signature style.
""I See the Light"" is a romantic duet sung by Rapunzel and Flynn as they sit in a boat surrounded by countless floating lanterns. Having overcome many hardships to reach this moment, the two begin to realize their feelings for each other and sing together in harmony.
The phrase ""See the Light"" in the title not only refers to literally seeing the lanterns, but also carries the meaning of coming to a realization or understanding. For Rapunzel and Flynn (Eugene), “I See the Light” may symbolize not just witnessing the lanterns, but also gaining clarity about where they belong and what truly matters to them.

この作品は私が高校３年生時に書いたものを２年後に改訂し２０００年、母校の昭和音楽大学の学園祭で初演されました。 邦題は『勝者を讃えて！！』と言う意味となり、自分の夢に立ち向かい困難を乗り越えた人々を讃えるようなコンサートマーチになっています。
冒頭のトランペットから始まる華やかなファンファーレに続き木管楽器のゆったりとしたしかし希望に満ちた旋律が歌われ、その後低音楽器のリズミカルな旋律の後、優雅なトリオへと進みます。そして中低音楽器により困難へ立ち向かう人々を描写するような勇敢な旋律の後トリオの再現部に入り曲は最高潮に盛り上がり幕を閉じます。

■Program Note

This work was originally written during my third year of high school, later revised two years afterward, and premiered in 2000 at the school festival of my alma mater, Showa University of Music. The Japanese title means “Praise to the Victor!!,” and the piece is conceived as a concert march that celebrates those who face their dreams and overcome challenges.
Following a brilliant fanfare beginning with the trumpet, a broad yet hopeful melody is introduced in the woodwinds. After a rhythmic passage in the lower instruments, the music moves into an elegant trio section. A bold theme in the middle and lower voices then evokes people courageously confronting difficulties, leading into the recapitulation of the trio. The work builds to a powerful climax before coming to a close.

昭和を代表する歌手である山口百恵の名曲から「いい日旅立ち」「プレイバック part2」「イミテイション・ゴールド」「さよならの向う側」の4曲をメドレーにアレンジしました。70年代を彩ったサウンドをサックス4重奏で、快活でときに哀愁漂う音楽を楽しんでください。

■ アレンジ内容

比較的難易度は高くなく、原曲のイメージで演奏できます。自分が好きな昭和のアーティストの一人でもある山口百恵の名曲をサックス4重奏のメドレーにしました。楽譜のタイトルは大人の事情でこうなりました。 「いい日旅立ち」では有名なトランペットのソロをA.Sax.で演奏します。音域ではS.Sax.のほうが演奏が容易ですが、音色を優先してA.Sax.を選びました。演奏が難しい場合は9小節目まで入れ替えて演奏しても構いません。「さよならの向う側」では少しおしゃれに、感動的にクライマックスを演出しています。

■Program Note

"This medley arrangement brings together four iconic songs by Momoe Yamaguchi, one of the most representative singers of the Showa era: “Ii Hi Tabidachi,” “Playback Part 2,” “Imitation Gold,” and “Sayonara no Mukōgawa.” Enjoy the vibrant yet sometimes nostalgic sounds of the 1970s, reimagined for saxophone quartet."

■ Arrangement Details

The overall difficulty is relatively moderate, and the piece can be performed in a style that stays close to the original songs. This saxophone quartet medley features some of the most iconic works by Momoe Yamaguchi, who is also one of my personal favorite artists of the Showa era. The title of the score has been adjusted due to certain circumstances.

In “Ii Hi Tabidachi,” the well-known trumpet solo is performed on alto saxophone. Although the soprano saxophone would be more comfortable in terms of range, the alto saxophone was chosen to prioritize tone color. If it proves too challenging, performers may switch parts up to bar 9.

In “Sayonara no Mukōgawa,” the arrangement builds toward a slightly more sophisticated and emotionally moving climax.

室内楽でピアノとオーケストラによるコンチェルト形式の作品を演奏する場合、大きな難しさが一つあります。それは、本来は ピアノのソロパートとオーケストラパートで構成される音楽を、4人だけで表現しなければならないため、作品が本来持っている 立体感や多彩な音色が失われやすいという点です。

そのため、この編曲では単に音を置き換えるだけではなく、原曲の魅力を損なわないために多くの工夫を取り入れています。一 般的な編曲ではピアノソロの部分が省略されることが少なくありませんが、今回はむしろピアノソロの部分をチューバアンサンブ ルならではの聴きどころと捉え、できる限り残しています。演奏にあたっては、原曲のスコアやオーケストラ演奏をしっかりと聴 き込み、「どこからどこまでがピアノソロなのか」を把握して臨むと良いでしょう。

When performing a concerto-style work originally written for piano and orchestra in a chamber ensemble setting, one major challenge arises: the need to express music that was meant to be shared between a solo piano and a full orchestra with only four performers. To address this, this arrangement goes beyond a simple redistribution of notes, incorporating numerous ideas to preserve the essence and richness of the original work. In many arrangements, the piano solo sections are often shortened or omitted, but here they are treated as highlights unique to the tuba ensemble and retained as much as possible. When performing, it is highly recommended to study the original score or orchestral recordings carefully, so that you clearly understand which sections were originally for the piano solo.

過去・現在・未来、全ては同時に存在していて、私たち人間は、その静止画のように存在している世界を眺めてい るに過ぎない、という相対性理論における一つの仮説があります。この説の正誤は物理学の専門家たちにお任せする こととして、私はこの仮説は非常にユニークだと感じました。今作はここから着想を得たファンタジーの世界です。

ある日突然、白亜紀の恐竜が現代生活に紛れ込んでしまったら…人類にもルーティンがあるように、当然恐竜にも ルーティンがあります。食事を摂る、眠りにつく…etc. 人類は大混乱に陥りつつも、共存するという選択肢を取らざ るを得ないとも思うのです。日々の生活が次第に変容し、未来へと溶け合っていく…そんな意味を込めて「メタモル フォセズ」としました。

Metamorphoses

■Program Note

There is a hypothesis in the theory of relativity that suggests the past, present, and future all exist simultaneously ? that we humans are merely observing this world as if it were a series of still images. Whether or not this idea is scientifically correct is up to physicists to decide, but I found the concept itself deeply fascinating. This piece is inspired by that hypothesis and envisions a kind of fantasy world based on it.

One day, what if dinosaurs from the Cretaceous period suddenly appeared and blended into our modern world? Just as humans have their routines, surely dinosaurs would have theirs ? eating, sleeping, and so on. Humanity would likely descend into chaos, yet might ultimately have no choice but to find a way to coexist. As everyday life gradually transforms and merges toward the future, I wanted to capture that sense of evolution ? hence the title Metamorphoses.

In such cases, it’s a good idea for everyone to practice feeling each beat strongly together. Once you can hold that strong sense of pulse inside while shaping long musical phrases, you’ll be able to express both the excitement and warmth that evoke the feeling of morning!

Also, pay close attention to how you handle the eighth notes. Listen to the Tubassadors’ performance as a reference, and be mindful of when to swing, when not to, and when to play somewhere in between.
Ultimately, I hope you will create your own story through this piece ? deciding where to emphasize the rhythm, how to shape the phrases, and how to use tone color and dynamics to make the music truly your own.

　「ジャパンブルー」をテーマにした曲です。この言葉は明治時代に来日したある科学者が、藍色の着物を着た人々 が街に溢れている様子を表現したものと言われています。職人たちが藍染めをするストイックな様子を静かに揺らぐ ような音型で、藍染めの着物の最盛期たる江戸時代の街の活気を太鼓や三味線風のリズムで描きました。共通してい るのは「粋」な雰囲気で、典型的な日本的・時代劇的な曲調でありながらも、チューバサダーズの醸し出すクールで 洗練されたムードにも合うようにと意識したつもりです。

　そもそもは、今回のＣＤのテーマカラー「青」に合わせた曲を作りたいと考えたのが始まりでした。チューバサ ダーズに似合う青…どんな可能性があるだろう？と想像したところ、四人が藍色の着物を着ている姿が浮かんできた のです。すごく似合いそうに思いましたし、海外との繋がりが深いメンバーたち×着物という組み合わせにワクワク したのです。ですので皆さまにも一度、それぞれのプレイヤーが寡黙な染物職人や気の良い商人、町奉行や侍に扮し ているところを想像してみていただきたいですね。きっと素敵なストーリーが浮かんでくるはずです！

The Time We Were Dyed Indigo ”Japan”Blue

■Program Note

This piece is based on the theme of “Japan Blue.” The term is said to have originated with a scientist who visited Japan during the Meiji era and used it to describe the sight of people in indigo-dyed kimonos filling the streets. The stoic, focused attitude of the artisans engaged in indigo dyeing is expressed through quietly swaying musical figures, while the bustling energy of Edo-period towns ? when indigo-dyed clothing was at its peak ? is depicted through taiko and shamisen-like rhythms. What ties it all together is a sense of *iki* ? refined elegance ? that blends a distinctly Japanese, period-drama-like tone with the cool, sophisticated atmosphere characteristic of the Tuba-saders.

The inspiration for the piece actually came from the CD’s theme color, “blue.” I began thinking about what kind of blue would suit the Tuba-saders, and the image that came to mind was of the four members dressed in indigo-dyed kimonos. It felt like a perfect fit ? and the combination of internationally active musicians wearing traditional Japanese attire was an exciting thought. So, I’d love for listeners to imagine each player taking on a role: a quiet dyeing artisan, a good-natured merchant, a town magistrate, or a samurai. I’m sure a wonderful story will begin to unfold from that image!

ロスト・ムーン 〜マン・オン・ザ・ムーン エピソード２〜

■楽曲解説（解説：清水大輔）

この作品は2006年、横浜栄区民吹奏楽団委嘱により書き始め同年12月に完成した２０分ほどの作品。5年前に作曲した『Man the Moon』の続編となるこの作品、人類の最大の偉業と言っても過言ではないアポロ計画による人類初の月面着陸を題材にした前作ですが、今回はアポロ計画の『輝かしき失敗』と言われたアポロ１３号の壮絶なる7日間を描こうと思い書いたのが今作です。曲は５楽章から成り立っており各楽章には副題が付いています。

第一楽章「A President Speech ~ Reprise ~」では続編という意味合いを強くするため前作の１楽章にアレンジを加えたものを使用しました。この楽章ではケネディ大統領の演説を描写しており、その中でも特に印象に残った月面着陸にたいしての言葉『困難だからこそ挑むのです！』から得た力強い決意を音楽で表現しています。
[新楽章]
第二楽章「The Family」では飛行士、地上の管制スタッフ、そして見守る家族。この3つのモチーフを、それぞれの楽車に散りばめて本作品は作られていますが、家族の部分を膨らませて作曲されたのが本楽章となります。
第三楽章「Apollo 13 ~The Launch,1970/04/13 ~」では打ち上げの描写から運命の日となる1970年4月13日を静かに迎える場面までを描写しています。管楽器のクラスターや打楽器などを使い、発射のシーンなどを現しています。そしてこの楽章ではこ曲のメインとなるテーマがトランペットによって奏でられます。
第四楽章「We Have a Problem ~ Lost Moon ~」では副題の通り　「問題発生！」を表現しています。極限の中で必死の策を練る船員の様子や不安感などを描写しています。この楽章の後半からは描写を中心とはせず、船員の精神面や極限の人間の姿を詩的に音楽で表現しようと試みています。
そして最終楽章「Returning Alive（生還）」では極限の人間の心理状態、少しずつ見えてくる希望、さらに残る不安感などを4小節単位の和声進行を繰り返し、徐々に盛り上がります。そしてメインテーマが再現され曲の持つ力は最高潮になりエンディングに向かい最後の最後で一瞬ケネディ大統領のテーマが現れ幕を閉じます。この作品が描写音楽から段々と人間を描く音楽に変わっていく姿を感じとって頂ければ私にとって最大の喜びであると共に願いでもあります。

今回の再出版にあたり第二楽章が付け加えられました。あたらしく五楽章形式となった本作をお楽しみください。

また、今回より「President Dream from Man on the Moon Episode 2 Opening Titles（大統領の夢）」(MLWO-004)とセットで製作されました。本編と一緒に演奏ができます。

Serving as a sequel to Man the Moon, composed five years earlier, the previous work depicted the first human landing on the moon—an achievement that could well be described as one of humanity’s greatest accomplishments. In contrast, this piece portrays the dramatic seven days of Apollo 13, often referred to as the “successful failure” of the Apollo program. The composition consists of five movements, each with its own subtitle.

The first movement, “A President Speech ~ Reprise ~,” reinforces the idea of a sequel by presenting an arrangement of the first movement from the earlier work. It depicts a speech by John F. Kennedy, expressing in music the strong sense of determination inspired by his memorable words about the moon landing: “We choose to go because it is hard.”
The second movement, “The Family,” is based on three main motifs: the astronauts, the ground control staff, and the families who watch over them. While these elements appear throughout the entire work, this movement expands particularly on the theme of family.
The third movement, “Apollo 13 ~The Launch, 1970/04/13 ~,” depicts the launch sequence and leads quietly into the fateful day of April 13, 1970. The use of wind instrument clusters and percussion vividly portrays the moment of liftoff. In this movement, the principal theme of the entire work is introduced by the trumpet.
The fourth movement, “We Have a Problem ~ Lost Moon ~,” expresses, as its subtitle suggests, the moment when trouble arises. It portrays the crew desperately devising solutions under extreme conditions, along with their growing sense of anxiety. From the latter half of this movement, the focus shifts from direct depiction to a more poetic musical expression of the crew’s psychological state and the human condition under extreme circumstances.
Finally, the fifth movement, “Returning Alive,” portrays the psychological state of people under extreme conditions, the gradual emergence of hope, and the lingering anxiety. Through repeated four-bar harmonic progressions, the music steadily builds in intensity. The main theme returns, driving the work to its climactic peak, and just before the very end, the theme associated with President Kennedy briefly reappears, bringing the piece to a close. It would be my greatest joy and hope if listeners can sense how this work gradually transforms from descriptive music into a more human-centered expression.

For this re-publication, a second movement has been added. Please enjoy this work in its new five-movement form.

Additionally, from this edition onward, it has been produced as a set with “President Dream from Man on the Moon Episode 2 Opening Titles” (MLWO-004). It can be performed together with the main work.

サックスやウィンドシンセを前面に出した音楽が印象的なバンド「T-SQUARE(THE SQUARE)」が1986年3月にリリースしたアルバム「S・P・O・R・T・S」に収録されている楽曲です。
この曲は「T-SQUARE」のライブでの定番曲となると共に、多くのテレビやラジオ番組でBGMとして使用されました。
また、「T-SQUARE」のオリジナルと共に、真島俊夫によりサンバ調にアレンジされた吹奏楽版も広く知られています。

■アレンジ内容(解説：馬越脇崚)

吹奏楽経験がある方には抜群の知名度を誇る「宝島」を、サックス四重奏に編曲させていただきました。個人的には原曲の「宝島」も大好きですが、自分も吹奏楽出身なのでより馴染みがある吹奏楽バージョンに準拠しております。ドラムレスなので、バッキングのパターンでリズムを聞かせられるように軽快に演奏してみてください。ブラスソリをサックスで演奏できるのが特に楽しいポイントです。 ソリの後半に少しハモリを追加したので、楽しんで演奏してください!

This song is from the album “S-P-O-R-T-S” released in March 1986 by the band “T-SQUARE”, whose music is impressive for its saxophone and wind synths in the foreground.
This song became a staple in “T-SQUARE's” live performances and was also used as background music on many television and radio programs.
Along with the “T-SQUARE” original, a brass band version arranged in samba style by Toshio Majima is also widely known.

■Arrangement Details(explanation：Ryo Magoewaki)

I have arranged “TAKRAJIMA” for saxophone quartet, which is very well known among those who have experience playing in a brass band. Personally, I love the original “Treasure Island,” but since I myself came from a wind orchestra background, I have adapted the more familiar brass band version. Since it is drumless, try to play it lightly so that the rhythm can be heard in the backing pattern. The ability to play the brass soli with a saxophone is a particularly fun aspect of this piece. We have added a little hum in the second half of the soli, so have fun playing it!

全体的にずっとテンションは高め、後半に向けてどんどん盛り上がっていくとかなり楽しいアレンジです。サックス4本で演奏するにあたってはよりビートやリズムを強調して、「ノリの良さ」が表現できると良いですね。正確に吹くのも大切ですが、遠慮とか恥じらいを捨てて、めちゃめちゃ吹くみたいな勢いがあるとそれはそれでかっこよくなると思います。思いっきりいきましょう！途中にアルトサックス・ソプラノサックス によるアドリブソロがあります！見せ場です！

As you probably know, it is the most famous song in the Matsuken Samba series as well as the Matsuken xx series.
The song has elements of samba Latin and songs, and uses fashionable chords for the climax, making it both familiar and fun.
